PCC Update

Dear AMA Members,

The Physician Compensation Committee (PCC), which last met on August 22, 2019, is pleased to provide an update on progress on the Strategic Requirements identified for April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2020.

Recent Activities

The PCC received information on the Schedule of Medical Benefits Redevelopment Steering Committee. The Steering Committee, which is targeting to have its first meeting in September, is comprised of:

Other motions tabled and voted on during the August 22 meeting include:

  • The PCC approved the Provincial Based Payment Rate funding model as the funding draw from the Physician Services Budget for each new Academic Medicine and Health Services Program arrangement.
  • PCC voted in favour of reviewing Alternative Relationship Plan rate and FTE methodologies.
