Resilience is the result of successful adaptation to adversity. The aging process can bring many changes and losses. This conference hopes to highlight resilience as it relates to coping, recovery, growth and sustained vitality. It is through these processes we derive meaning and a sense of purpose. This holds true for the geriatric population and those who care for them. The 2019 CAGP-CCSMH Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) will focus on the theme Building Resilience in Seniors’ Mental Health in Canada. Come join us to learn more – together we are more resilient!

The 2019 program has been developed with a focus on content that is relevant to physicians and all health care professionals with a wide selection of presentations to choose from. A highlight for this year will be a focus on psychotherapy with many sessions on this important topic.

For more information, please visit cagp.ca/ASM-2019/ or contact the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry (CAGP) at CAGP@secretariatcentral.com.

CME accreditation: This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Canadian Geriatric Society.

The AMA advances patient-centered, quality care by advocating for and supporting physician leadership and wellness.
