This annual event educates health professionals on LGBTQ+ health issues and how to provide inclusive, high-quality care to LGBTQ+ patients. It's a great way to develop knowledge and competency around Sexual and Gender Minority health and related issues. The conference is hosted by the Sexuality & Gender Advocacy Committee (SGA), at the University of Alberta.

Physicians and NPs who attend the conference will be eligible to become designated PrEP prescribers. This means that your patients will be able to receive this medication with appropriate coverage.

Keynote speaker Dr. Michael Marshall is the director of the recently opened Gender Program at the University of Alberta Department of Psychiatry. Dr Marshall will speak about this innovative program, which offers a multi-disciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of gender dysphoria. Other sessions focus on intersex health, substance abuse, PReP, spirituality, and LGBTQ+ sexual health.
