Live Active Community Fun Run/Walk

Come join the Alberta Medical Association Youth Run Club for a free community fun run/walk in Edmonton’s River Valley. All ages and abilities are welcome!

Hosted by

The AMA and its YRC partner – Ever Active Schools – invite AMA members, their families and clinic and practice staff; AMA staff and their families; and YRC sponsors (Alberta Blue Cross, MD Financial Management, Canadian Tire Jumpstart, the City of Edmonton and Fast Trax Run & Ski) and their families to run, jog or walk the 1.5 km, 3 km or 6 km in Hawrelak Park, with the Live Active Community Fun Run/Walk.

Event times

  • 9 to 9:45 a.m. - On-site registration
  • 10 a.m. - 6 km fun run start
  • 10:05 a.m. - 3 km fun run start
  • 10:10 a.m. - 1.5 km fun run start
  • 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Post-event snacks, prizes and fun


Register online to participate. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Volunteers needed

Are you able to volunteer to help out with the run/walk? We could use some help with event set-up, registration, course marshalling, dispensing post-run snacks and event tear-down. Sign up to volunteer
