Midwifery Matters Conference

September 20, 2018

The Midwifery Matters Conference will explore Alberta’s midwifery roots, its current state and its vision for the future all within the context of the broader maternity care landscape.

We have some spectacular speakers lined up including: Lesley Paulette (Indigenous Midwife and Knowledge Keeper), Cora Beitel (Midwife and expert on advancing inclusive maternity care for LGBTQIA2S families), and Dr. Andrew Kotaska (obstetrician and expert on informed consent). This is the Alberta Association of Midwives' inaugural conference, with thanks to the Alberta’s Ministry of Status of Women for awarding us a Community Grant.
