AMA ACTT PCN Governance Training - Essentials

March 1, 7 and 9, 2023

The PCN Governance Training - Essentials is targeted to new members of the physician not-for-profit board, joint governance committee, PCN non-profit boards, PCN executive directors and any individuals who provide direct support to PCN boards/governance committees. 
 
This curriculum introduces the governance of Primary Care Networks (PCN) in Alberta. You will learn about the context in which PCNs operate in Alberta, the governance structures that PCNs operate within, and the many functions, roles, and responsibilities that contribute to the optimal functioning of boards and committees. 

The curriculum has two parts, learners must complete online pre-work (approx. 4.5 hours) and attend an interactive session. Session dates include:

  • Virtual session: Wednesday, March 1, 6 - 8 p.m.
  • Edmonton in-person session: Tuesday, March 7, 6 - 8 p.m., CMA Alberta House
  • Calgary in-person session: Thursday, March 9, 6 - 8 p.m., Southern Alberta Office
