Camrose physician, Dr. Christopher Nichol helps junior high students get a glimpse into the world of medicine.

The Alberta Medical Association believes many of Alberta’s physicians support and participate in projects to help build healthier, stronger communities in Canada and throughout the world. Through the AMA’s Many Hands™ initiative, we want to celebrate such altruistic endeavors and inspire others.

Volunteer opportunities come in all shapes and sizes, and we'd love to hear from all doctors who donate their time and expertise to give back in their own communities and around the world.

You don't need to be a writer.
We'll take care of the prose. Just send us a couple of sentences outlining the project and your involvement in it. We'll contact you for all the details.

You don't need to be a full-time philanthropist.
Every contribution counts. We'd love to hear about what you've been involved with, whether it’s only an hour or two a month or a major commitment of time.
