Canadian self-employed professionals at risk with proposed tax reform

The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) has issued a statement with respect to tax changes proposed by the federal Department of Finance. Self-employed professionals like physicians are at risk when governments change the tax rules without comprehensive measures to alleviate the impact.

The AMA and the other provincial/territorial medical associations are working closely with CMA and more information will follow soon.
