Help the AMA recognize the most compassionate physician you know!
Deadline for nominations extended to February 28
January 16, 2017
Think of that “one in a million” colleague. We bet that physician is probably the last one who ever talks about all that he or she gives every day to patients, communities and medicine. That’s why the AMA Award for Compassionate Service may be just what the doctor ordered!
There is still time to make a nomination. We have not had as many nominations as we enjoyed last year. We know they’re out there! Please bring these wonderful individuals to our attention by February 28!
The AMA Award for Compassionate Service honors a physician who is an AMA member and, during his/her career, has:
- Demonstrated a significant and extraordinary contribution to volunteer or philanthropic efforts.
- Enhanced the reputation of physicians as compassionate members of the community by giving back locally, nationally or internationally.
- Gone outside of his/her normal duties and practices to care for others who would otherwise not receive care or support.
Our province has many exceptional physicians who truly go above and beyond their normal duties to provide care for local, national and sometimes international communities. Please take the time to nominate a friend or colleague who deserves to be celebrated!
