CMA/AMA partner to develop physician leaders

Through funding provided by the Canadian Medical Association, the AMA is pleased to offer the Physician Leadership and Professional Development Initiative provided by CMA Joule, a CMA subsidiary. Current and emerging physician leaders will be supported with leadership development that aligns with AMA values of physician wellness, diversity and inclusion, and promotes opportunities for health advocacy and systems transformation.

Opportunities offered from this initiative are:

Four online PLI courses (max 30 participants per course*):

  • Engaging Others: September 16 and 17, 2021 
  • Leading Effective Meetings: November 25 and 26, 2021
  • Managing People Effectively: January 13 and 14, 2022 
  • Leading High-Performance Culture: April 22 and 29, 2022

Complimentary one-year membership to the Canadian Society of Physician Leaders ($195 value) provided by CSPL for new CSPL members upon completion of one or more PLI courses through this Initiative.

Access to coaching opportunities to recognized Canadian physician coaching organizations for physicians who complete two or more of the above Physician Leadership Institute courses.
