Seeking members for the AMA Indigenous Health Committee

The AMA is seeking member physicians to join its new Indigenous Health Committee. The committee is a new group with a longer-term mandate established to promote and operationalize the recommendations in the AMA Indigenous Health Policy adopted recently by the Board of Directors. The committee – with four physicians (chair plus three other physicians) – is structured to have two physicians of Indigenous background (First Nations or Métis); and two physicians of non-Indigenous background with experience in working with Indigenous communities. The committee will also include two Indigenous community members.
