Election program launches today

March 24, 2023

AMA President Dr. Fredrykka Rinaldi

Dear Members,

Today we launch a public information program to help ensure that health care remains front and center for Albertans in the coming provincial election. We hope it will help them to consider their own expectations from the system. We will be communicating via website and social media and to members via President’s Letters.

There are seven key themes drawn from patient research in our online patient communities as well as our 2022 Care Deficit Assessment Series. Themes were vetted with the Joint Physician Advocacy Committee and the Representative Forum.

The first topic is Care of the Elderly. We will launch a new topic each week, updating our infographic as we go. Each entry has an abstract/summary, two or three questions for candidates and parties and a link to further information.

Thanks to expert physicians who are helping to develop this series.

You are always welcome to share your thoughts with me. You can email me via president@albertadoctors.org. You can also comment on this letter on the AMA website.

Regards,

fred Rinaldi, MD, CCFP, FCFP, LLB, MBA, MPA(HSA), BCom

THE UCP have not earned our trust yet and are spinning nice tales of success. The UCP caused the problem and now are trying to bribe their way out with OUR money and creating an enormous debt (well hidden).
If the NDP do form the next government, heaven help them.
