Webinar #5: COVID Talks for Docs

Series: Adapting to Increasing COVID Care Needs in your Practice

March 3, 2021

Subject: Maintaining Physician Wellness

Time details: 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

This is the fifth webinar in the bi-weekly series on the care and management of COVID-19 patients in the community.

Webinar #5 has been designed to support physicians’ mental health in a rapidly changing environment. For physicians, the culture of medicine, contextual factors and physician characteristics, exacerbate the difficulties that have come with the current health pandemic. This session provides an opportunity to discuss why physicians are experiencing the pandemic differently than the general population and to learn an approach that has the potential to counteract the inherent emotional consequences.

Learning objectives

  • Explain how, with respect to their own mental health, physicians are experiencing the current pandemic and its consequences differently than the general population.
  • Describe an approach to mitigate some of the emotional consequences being experienced at this stage in the pandemic.

  • Speaker: Fleur Yumol, Clinical Social Worker/Therapist
  • Session Moderator: Dr. Christine Luelo, Family Physician

Please note the webinar will be recorded. If you are unable to join live, the recording will made available on the Webinars & Online Learning web page within a few days following the event.
