Government's Medical Liability Reimbursement program application is now available on the government website at https://www.alberta.ca/medical-liablity-reimbursement-program.aspx. All members will need to complete and submit an application form to receive reimbursement.

  • Members who participate in the early reimbursement program will want to apply soon to ensure they receive reimbursement before the Canadian Medical Protective Association withdraws payment on August 1.
  • Government's application form requires the use of Adobe 8 or higher and members have reported technical issues depending on the device, email application or browser being used. Please contact Alberta Health if you require assistance: health.mlrprogram@gov.ab.ca.
  • Once your application is successfully submitted you will receive a reply email indicating it has been received. Please note that the process for submitting the application to government is through unsecured email, which presents some risk. Members who are concerned should contact Alberta Health at health.mlrprogram@gov.ab.ca to ask about alternative methods for submitting their application.
