When you become a section member, you pay applicable section dues in addition to AMA membership dues. The section receives 100% of the dues collected to support the work of your section. Voting members of a section
Receive an invitation to attend the AGM, vote on business, serve as an executive member, have access to secure information (AGM minutes, section bylaws) and receive timely and informative section-related communications.
Non-voting members of a section
Receive the benefits above, except for voting and serving on the executive.
The AMA provides financial support to sections with grant dollars. For each AMA member who designated the section as their representative at the AMA RF, the section receives:
$30.00 for each member,
$15.00 for each 1st year in practice member and,
$4,000 to support general operating costs for the section.
