Injections for tetanus may only be claimed to Alberta Health and Wellness (AHW) when they are provided as a part of wound management. Patients may be referred to a Public Health Clinic for their tetanus or booster injections.

Please note: Claims may only be submitted for insured injections if the physician provides the injection. Injections provided by the nurse are not billable to AHW with the exception of flu or pneumococcal vaccinations.
