Login help for AMA members
Login to see all of the valuable members-only information on this website. How you login depends on whether you are a new user or have been to the members-only site before:
Logged in before?
To log in, click the 'Login' button on the top right of any page on the AMA site. Enter your username and password and click the 'Login'. Once logged in you can click this button to log out or change your password and security questions.
Forget your password?
Follow these three steps to reset it:
- Go to the account activation/password reset page
- Enter your AMA member number. (Note: This is not your CPSA or CMA number)
- Answer the two security questions you created when you first logged in we will email you a temporary password.
Please note: The system will lock you out after five attempts to login. The system will unlock after fifteen minutes if you wish to try again.

First time you're logging in?
You must be an AMA member to access our site. Your first time logging in you will need to activate and setup your account:
Activating your account:
- Go to the account activation/password reset page
- Enter your AMA member number. (Note: This is not your CPSA or CMA number).
- Click on the calendar to enter your date of birth.
Once you have successfully entered your member number and correct date of birth you will be prompted to set up security questions. These will be used to re-activate your account in the future should you forget your password. When complete you will be logged in and able to view all content on the site.
Important notes:
- New accounts can take overnight to process. If you have just paid for your membership and do not get the calendar, try again the next day.
- If the website does not accept your date of birth or security answers you need to call the AMA Helpdesk (780-732-3377) or email us (amamail@albertadoctors.org) to have your account created.
- The system will lock you out after five attempts to login. However, the system unlocks after fifteen minutes if you wish to continue trying.

Locked out?
After several unsuccessful attempts to login your account may be locked out. This is to keep your account secure by preventing unauthorized access. There are three ways to unlock your account:
1) Wait. The system unlocks after 15 minutes.
2) Reset your password. After completing the process, you can log in with your new password.
3) Call the AMA Helpdesk (780-732-3377) or email us (AMA.helpdesk@albertadoctors.org).
