Close to 500 health care leaders attend Forum

Upwards of 500 attendees focused on “The Path Ahead” – as the theme of the AMA-ACTT hosted conference held in downtown Edmonton over the first weekend in May.

The event concentrated on the shared journey of health care transformation and working with multi-disciplinary teams towards team-based care.

AMA-ACTT director, Angela Johnson welcomes everyone to the 2025 Forum

This year, the event achieved the Patients Included™designation with the inclusion of seven patient partners. They along with their families are essential in helping to improve the primary health care system in Alberta. Patient partners bring their voices and lived experience to help inform the work. The patients' involvement, including their reflections, are detailed in a brief summary.

Over the three-day event, attendees discussed the significance of effective leadership, managing change and innovation. They also learned about important initiatives underway that advance the Patient’s Medical Home in an Integrated Health Neighbourhood.

The venue/event that you created is such an important puzzle piece that keeps everyone pulling together through large change and helps us all to connect as humans in our work.
