Serena Rix is a palliative care pharmacist at Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton. Originally from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, she holds a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacy from the University of Brighton, a PharmD from the University of Colorado and an MSc in Palliative Care from the University of Glasgow. She is an adjunct member of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Alberta. Serena received the 2016 APEX Award of Excellence in Pharmacy and the 2026 Grey Nuns Hospital Mission Award for Compassion. She is a mother of four daughters and has two grandsons.
