Dear Members,
We know from you, as well as through survey data from the general population and our PatientsFirst.ca community, that there's widespread concern about prioritizing cost-saving and private sector expansion over equitable, stable public health care delivery.
This phase of the campaign is about reinforcing a powerful truth: that physicians have the expertise, insight and credibility to lead meaningful, evidence-based health care reform in our province.
Here’s a quick look at how the campaign is performing to date:
- Our Trusted to Lead video commercial has been viewed more than 545,000 times in the past three weeks across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and various streaming services.
-
More than 37,000 Albertans have visited our refreshed microsite at informedreform.ca.
-
We're reaching new audiences across streaming platforms, social media, and soon – bus shelters and billboards in key communities across the province.
How you can help
We now have downloadable office posters available for members who want to support the campaign. These posters are a simple, effective way to share this important message with your patients and community. Let them know that physicians want to help and that we’re advocating for health system reform that is effective and keeps patient care at the forefront.

Your support helps amplify our collective voice – and reminds Albertans that their doctors are here for them and they are Trusted to Lead.
We’ll continue updating the campaign in the weeks ahead as we continue to advocate for a stronger, safer and more sustainable health care system.
Sincerely,
Shelley Duggan, MD, FRCPC
President, Alberta Medical Association
