Overview
The focus of Alberta Screening and Prevention (ASaP) is to support physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinic teams to offer a screening and prevention bundle to all their patients through enhanced opportunistic and planned outreach methods (targeting patients who do not present for screening care).

The Alberta Screening and Prevention (ASaP) screening maneuvers menu for adults was updated in November 2025 to reflect changes to guidelines and policy while continuing to balance impact and practicality in primary care settings.

The recommended test and interval for cervical cancer screening has changed for those aged 50-69, to align with the Alberta Provincial Cervical Screening Program recommendations and policy.
