The CPAR Demographic Mismatch Report is generated by CPAR on a per panel basis and identifies where there are mismatches between the demographic information in the provider’s EMR and the Alberta Health Provincial Client Registry. It also indicates any deceased patients who have been included in the panel. It is produced monthly. Click the image below to see a PDF sample of the report.
Introduced in March 2025, the CPAR Panel Submission Metrics Report is generated by CPAR on a per panel basis, is produced monthly and displays details about the last six months of panel submissions, including:
- # Patients submitted: Total number of patients uploaded from EMR
- # Demographic Mismatches: Total number of patients with mismatches between the demographic information in the EMR and the Alberta Health Provincial Client Registry (you can find this list of patients in the Demographic Mismatch report). These patients have NOT been attached to the CPAR panel
- # Attachment Errors: Total number of patients that failed to attach to the CPAR panel for reasons other than Demographic Mismatches (see list of patients with upload errors listed under Panel Uploads tab)
- Total Active Attachments: total number of patients successfully uploaded to CPAR. This is the final CPAR panel size
- # Conflicts: Total number of CPAR conflicts. Conflicts occur when patients are paneled to more than one participating CPAR provider
This report also displays the names of all Panel Administrator(s) with access to the CPAR panel. Physicians who are working under the new PCPCM funding model may want their Panel Administrator to provide a copy of this report monthly to help them monitor panel details. A sample of the report is shown below.
Introduced in July 2025, the Panel List of Active Attachments Report is available in the CPAR Online Portal. It lists all patients on the CPAR panel, along with their basic demographic information and identifiers.
Unlike other CPAR reports, this one is generated in upon demand, not monthly. This means that the patients listed in the report will be those attached to the CPAR panel as of the date the report was downloaded.
This report can be very helpful when trying to troubleshoot discrepancies between the expected (or EMR) panel size and the CPAR panel size.
