PLS locum physician billing sheets and resources

The PLS billing service submits claims for insured services provided to eligible Alberta and Canadian residents.

Notes for all physicians

Please do not submit claims for the following patients:

• WCB: Submit claims directly to WCB. More information is at www.wcb.ab.ca/providers.
• Federal penitentiary inmates: For claims for services provided to patients in Federal Correctional Institutions, contact the Federal Correctional Institution and ask to speak to the director of health services who will provide submission information.
• Residents of Quebec: Direct bill the patient.
• Out-of-country residents: Direct bill the patient.
• Refugees: Coverage is provided by the Federal Government under the Interim Federal Health Program. Submit claims directly to that plan. Contact 1.800.770.2998.
