Data reviews

The Peer Review Billing Committee receives anonymized data from the Resource Stewardship & Optimization Working Group and other AMA partners, which they will review to identify opportunities to bolster billing practices.

Physician identifiers will remain confidential and will never be visible to committee members or AMA staff. If required, individual member communications or follow-up will be handled by a third-party partner to maintain privacy.

Reporting structure and scope

This committee reports to the AMA Board of Directors, operating independently from the Government of Alberta and College of Physicians & Surgeons.

Allegations of professional misconduct, cases under government compliance review and patient complaints are out of scope.
