Infectious Diseases Funding Programs

The Section of Infectious Diseases will be accepting applications from July 1 - August 31 for two new funding programs:

  • Publication Fees Assistance Program: Offers up to six annual awards (totaling $3,000) to support research publication fees.  
  • CME Financial Support Benefit: Provides up to four annual awards (totaling $2,000) to cover registration fees for local, national or international conferences.

 

Publication Fees Assistance Program

Open to members in good standing, with one grant per membership year.  Preference is given to major clinical physicians and early career physicians (less than seven years in practice).

Applicants will be required to attach the letter of acceptance for publication and publication fee receipt.

CME Financial Support Benefit

Open to members in good standing, with one grant per member per year.  Priority is given to those who have not received the award before, major clinical physicians, early career physicians and those presenting research or case reports.

Applicants will be required to submit their attendance certificate and registration receipt.

Eligibility

  1. BOTH a current AMA member and a section member of the AMA Section of Infectious Diseases
  2. Expenses will have been incurred between June 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026.

Application Deadline

Please return completed application form to [email protected] no later than midnight August 31. The Section of Infectious Diseases Application Review Committee will review all applications and will determine the recipient(s).

Successful Applicants

Will be notified no later than September 30.
