What is something people may not know about you?

Outside of work, you’ll most likely find me either baking cookies or training for a marathon (all about balance)!

What appealed to you about becoming an APL?

Having the opportunity to engage with other physician leaders throughout the province who are passionate about health care transformation.

What has been your favourite part about being an APL? 

I loved getting my Insights Discovery profile done. My ‘profile’ was spot-on, and having a better understanding of my work and communication styles has helped me approach my interactions with others in the most mutually beneficial manner. 

I also enjoyed getting to beta test the new Access module for Specialists for a Caseload. It is an amazing, user-friendly resource – I only wish it had existed back when I was a new grad!   

What are you looking forward to doing in the future as an APL?

I can’t wait to contribute to the development of resources for team-based care.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Being an APL has given me the opportunity to develop my leadership skills while also creating and delivering resources to help other physicians across the province. Not only that, but the ACTT team is full of wonderful humans – I feel privileged to be part of it.
