Dual Practice Safeguards Campaign

Will dual practice improve access to care in Alberta? That’s the question many Albertans are asking. Across social media, we explore these themes and explain how they help protect access, patient safety and the strength of our publicly funded health care system. The AMA’s Dual Practice Task Force identified 70 safeguards with seven key themes in response to Alberta’s new dual practice legislation (Bill 11). These safeguards should be in place to protect the public health system when dual practice moves forward.
