Practice Facilitator Core Training Overview

The Practice Facilitator Core Training curriculum is a comprehensive blended training combining on-demand Learn@AMA courses, pre-work, in-person sessions and various supports. Use the information in this document to help you get the most out of this training experience.

Training Timeline and Tasks

  1. Virtual Session Pre-work (self-directed)

    Est. time: 1 hr

    Tasks

    Complete two courses: PF Core Training Curriculum Overview and Introduction to Practice Facilitation.

  2. Virtual Welcome Session (virtual)

    Est. time: 1.5 hr

    Tasks

    Attend virtual welcome webinar.
    Complete Practice Facilitator Self-Assessment.

  3. Day 1 In-Person Pre-work (self-directed)

    Est. time: 3-5 hr

    Tasks

    Complete 14 primary care transformation courses.

  4. Day 1 In-Person Session (in-person)

    Est. time: 8 hr

    Tasks

    Attend day 1 in-person session.

  5. Day 2-3 In-Person Pre-work (self-directed)

    Est. time: 6-8 hr

    Tasks

    Complete 10 quality improvement and 9 modes of influence courses.

  6. Day 2-3 In-Person Sessions (in-person)

    Est. time: 16 hr

    Tasks

    Attend day 2 and 3 in-person sessions.

  7. Virtual Celebration (virtual)

    Est. time: 2 hr

    Tasks

    Attend virtual celebration.
    Complete Practice Facilitator Self-Assessment.
