The Section of Family Medicine Nominating Committee extends thanks to all who replied to the Section of Family Medicine Call for Expression of Interest sent out on April 30, 2026. The SFM Nominating Committee is pleased to share their selected nominees for the listed positions:
- Dr. Evelyn Ma, Calgary – Nominee, SFM Member-at-Large
- Dr. Susan Byers, Lethbridge – Nominee, SFM Vice President Regional Health System
- Dr. Adedayo Olawuni, Calgary – Nominee, SFM Nominating Committee Member
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN!
The Section of Family Medicine (SFM) Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations for the following SFM Executive listed positions:

SFM Member-at-Large: one position, three-year term.

SFM Vice President Regional Health System: one position, three-year term.

SFM Nominating Committee Member: one position, two-year term.
Submission Guidelines
- Candidates must be an voting member with the Section of Family Medicine
- Maximum one page describing the skills and experience they possess as outlined in the position description
- Submit by 4 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2026
SFM elections run in accordance with the SFM Bylaws. If a nomination is received for a position, an election will be held from July 22 to August 27. If no additional nominations are received for a position, the nominees will be acclaimed for the listed position at the close of the nominations, and SFM members will be notified accordingly. The successful candidates will commence their term at the SFM Annual General Meeting on September 24, 2026.
