Understanding harassment and discrimination and what you can do about it
This session is presented by Well Doc Alberta in collaboration with Alberta Health Services, AMA's Physician and Family Support Program and Covenant Health.
The Physician Wellness, Events & Program Promotion service is a core offering of the AMA’s Physician and Family Support Program. The PFSP offers engaging wellness learning sessions, participates in physician events and conferences, and distributes practical resources. This service aims to support physicians, resident physicians, and medical students at every stage of their careers.
These activities raise awareness about the importance of physician wellbeing and also encourage self-care, resilience, and peer support—making wellness an integral part of everyday medical practice. By sponsoring and organizing impactful events, the PFSP helps physicians connect, share experiences, and access confidential support, ultimately enhancing the quality of care for all Albertans.
During this interactive workshop, attendees will learn about the science of uncertainty while having opportunities for self-reflection and discussion about their experiences. Opportunities will also be provided to explore and share strategies about how to navigate times of uncertainty.
