Resolving CPAR Conflicts is good for patients and providers - it's also a key component of good panel management processes that PCPCM physicians are expected to have in place. Beginning April 1, 2026, patients in conflict with other providers may be subtracted from monthly panel payments.
With less than a year to go, AMA-ACTT has developed conflict management process essentials to help physicians and teams get ahead of the compensation change, including:
• NEW: fax template for communicating with conflicting clinics
• Sample telephone script for CPAR conflict calls
• To-do lists for physicians and teams
• How to unpanel patients resource
PCPCM continues to be embraced
Over 900 Alberta physicians are on or entering the model! Early feedback has been very positive and interested physicians can still apply.
See ACTT’s Application webpage for information on monthly deadlines and corresponding start dates.
