Please note this session will not be recorded. In this beginner session, members will walk away feeling more comfortable and confident in navigating social media platforms and understanding how to create strategic and engaging content for advocacy efforts, amplifying positive messages, mitigating criticism and more. You may already use social media personally, or not use social media at all, but this session will teach you how to approach it from a professional and strategic perspective, with important considerations before you launch or dive into account use.

Social Media 101 will teach you how to approach social from a professional and strategic perspective.

Linda Hoang is a seasoned social media strategist and Edmonton blogger. She has developed social media strategies and content plans for business, government, non-profit and post secondary and has also delivered social media training to hundreds of participants across a range of industries. Linda regularly uses social media in strategic, engaging and effective ways and enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge so others can do the same.
