Patient Resources for COVID-19
This page contains information about testing and managing symptoms of COVID-19. Patients are encouraged to take the first mRNA vaccine available for their third dose to offer the highest level of protection against severe outcomes from COVID-19.
Symptoms & Testing
COVID Testing Information - Currently, Albertans can access home testing kits, laboratory testing (based on eligibility), or tests via their employer (based on eligibility). Family physicians are unable to offer rapid testing in their clinics at this time. If you think you have symptoms of COVID-19, here are the options for testing.

Managing COVID-19 symptoms at home
This section contains advice and resources to support you as you recover from COVID-19. Monitor your health and call Health Link 811 or your health care provider if you have questions or concerns. Call 911 immediately if experiencing severe symptoms of COVID-19, including difficulty breathing, severe chest pain, feelings of confusion or loss of consciousness.
