Voting now open for 2022-23 CMA President-Elect from Alberta

Dear Members:

In 2022 an Alberta physician will become president of the Canadian Medical Association. This is an exciting opportunity for Alberta and comes at a pivotal time in our country’s public health care system.

Alberta CMA members can now vote for the next CMA president-elect, to serve as president during the 2022–23 term. Five Alberta physicians are in the running:

Learn more about the candidates and watch their responses to members’ questions about diversity in medicine, the delivery of health care services and the health of urban Indigenous peoples.

The voting ends on February 25, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. MST. Results will be shared on February 26.

  • To vote by telephone, toll-free at 1-866-312-8854 and enter your date of birth and CMA Member ID number to be authenticated.

The opportunity to have an Alberta physician serve as CMA president only comes along once every 10 years or so. Please take the time to familiarize yourselves with our exceptional Alberta candidates and cast your vote.
