While you are a Professional Association of Resident Physicians of Alberta (PARA) member:

  • PARA pays the premiums for your coverage.
  • Your plan includes $150,000 of coverage.
  • The death benefit is paid tax-free to your beneficiary.

If you need more coverage, the AMA Term Life Insurance plan offers up to $5 million in coverage:

Coverage is automatic, but you need to enroll:

Notes:

  • The enrollment form allows you to appoint a beneficiary for your life insurance.
  • The form also allows us to record your mailing address and residency completion date, so that we can let you know about your conversion options after you finish your residency.
