In follow up to the fall 2018 AMA Board decision to dissolve its ongoing dr2dr relationship with Microquest, the AMA has prepared a final report to provide both a comprehensive summary/overview of the project and full disclosure and accountability regarding the process, outcome and financial investment.

E-communications have become ubiquitous in our busy lives and while you know that emailing, texting and faxing are not secure channels over which to exchange confidential information, you continue to use it, thinking (hoping) that you’ll never experience a security breach. Despite having set gold standards for yourself and your clinic staff, when undertaken in the context of a maxed-out-busy work environment, e-communications (such as texts and email exchanges) are fraught with the potential to be compromised.

Red Deer Kicks-off AMA dr2dr

On Thursday, May 26, Red Deer started on the journey to axe the fax. Turnout was excellent at the three information sessions held to kick-off the Limited Production Rollout of the AMA dr2dr Secure Messaging System. Participants included physicians and office representatives from both specialist and general practice clinics.
