Billing for Canadian Armed Forces patients
Claims for Canadian Armed Forces patients need to be forwarded to Medavie Blue Cross for processing.
In order to register with Medavie Blue Cross, the Provider Registration and Claims Submission Agreement form will need to be completed. The direct toll-free line to the military claims staff is 1.888.261.4033 if you have questions.
As per the following from Medavie Blue Cross, the Schedule of Medical Benefits rates should be followed:
Canadian Armed Forces Benefit Provisions and Payment Requirements for Health Services
2. c) claim no more than the rate charged by the Provider to persons who are residents of the province/territory and no more than the rate charged to a person paying cash.
