Benefits of working with the AMA

What made you want to become a Board member?

"I am passionate about improving the lives of physicians. Healthy physicians are essential to patient care. Whether hospital or community-based, all physicians must work together to develop system-wide solutions that work for us, and our patients." - Dr. Katherine Kasha

Favorite AMA memory?

"My favorite silly memory so far is of Dr. Nohr signing my copy of Robert's Rules of Order.

"I have enjoyed all of my work within the AMA and appreciate so much the willingness of my colleagues and AMA staff to help me navigate my roles. An acronym spreadsheet, now over 200(!), remains one of the kindest things a staff member did for me, as acronyms are my kryptonite." - Dr. Kasha

On a personal note

In her time away from clinic and AMA work, Dr. Kasha is busy with her four kids, ages nine through fourteen. She loves watching them play soccer and now manages her eldest's team. She is hoping to pursue more crafty endeavors with her self-declared "non-sporty kid." Dr. Kasha relaxes by walking her "pandemic puppy" and going for coffee with friends.
